MoedThe Moed app
The app runs entirely on your iPhone, offline, with no account and no ads. It contains no analytics tool and no tracker.
If you allow it, your location (or the city you pick) is used only to calculate times on the iPhone. It is never sent to a server.
The dates you save (Hebrew birthdays, yahrzeits), your settings and your reminders stay on the iPhone. Reminders are scheduled by the iPhone itself, and widgets read the same data on the device.
Deleting the app erases all of this data.
The moedcal.com website
No account, no ads, no cookies: nothing to accept when you arrive.
On the home page, times are calculated for the approximate city that Cloudflare, which delivers the site, infers from your IP address. This is redone on every visit and nothing from it is stored.
If you choose another city on the home page, it stays in your browser (local storage, under the name "moed.ville") so it can be offered on your next visit. It is not a cookie: the site only receives it to calculate that city's times. To erase it, clear the data of moedcal.com in your browser settings.
The tools (date converter, yahrzeit, bar mitzvah, gematria) receive the date or word you type in the page address, to do the calculation. They never ask for a name or an email address.
Audience measurement
To learn which pages are useful and where visitors come from, the site uses Umami, an analytics tool installed on our own server: no measurement data goes to a third party.
It counts page views (the page address and title, without its parameters: for a tool, the date you typed is not counted), the name of the site you came from (not the exact page), country, region and approximate city, device type, operating system, browser, screen size, language, and a few actions on the site: a click toward the App Store, use of a tool, a calendar subscription.
Umami sets no cookies and does not keep your IP address: it recognizes a visit by a code computed from the IP address and the browser, mixed with a secret that changes regularly. If your browser asks not to be tracked (Do Not Track), nothing is counted. These statistics are erased after 25 months.
Like any website, our server and Cloudflare keep technical logs (address requested, time, browser) to run and protect the site.

Sharing, rights and contact
Nothing is sold, rented or shared. The only service providers are Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, and the company that hosts our server.
Since nothing can identify you, there is no personal file to send you or to delete.
